Leni Riefenstahl, whose full name is Helena Bertha Amalie Riefenstahl was born in Berlin and in addition to being an actress was also filmmaker. He studied painting and dancing and went into the films of Arnold Fanck in 1926 (Der Berg Heilige which means The Holy Mountain). Continued to appear as an actress, and in 1932 directed his first film, The Blue Light (Das Blaue Licht), a mixture of love and mysticism.
